Dr. Michael C. Edwards joins the Department of Psychology at Arizona State University
In January 2017, VPG’s Dr. Edwards joined the faculty of the Department of Psychology at Arizona State University. Dr. Edwards is an Associate Professor in the Quantitative Area. Prior to joining the faculty at ASU, Dr. Edwards was an Assistant (2006-2011) and Associate (2011-2016) Professor in the Quantitative Area of the Department of Psychology at The Ohio State University.

Stats Camp in Chongqing China
Dr. Cai, a VPG managing partner, will be teaching a summer workshop on item response theory methods using flexMIRT at Southwest University (SWU) in Chongqing, China starting August 23rd. SWU is under the administration of the Ministry of Education and responsible for training China’s next generation of psychometricians. We are proud to be part the process!

Drs. Carrie Houts, Mike Edwards, and R.J. Wirth from VPG and Linda Deal, from Pfizer, published a literature review in Quality of Life Research entitled “A review of empirical research related to the use of small quantitative samples in clinical outcome scale development.”
ISOQOL Psychometric SIG Chair-Elect
Dr. R.J. Wirth, VPG President and Managing Partner, has been elected Co-Chair of the ISOQOL Psychometric Special Interest Group. He will take over as Chair-elect this October in Copenhagen at the ISOQOL annual meeting.
